Fob doesn't open rear hatch Door

Well , that's pretty much it , red light blinks once on the fob , but no door action .
Opens when I press button on door

Any ideas ?

On the fob, try to open all doors first (double pushes on Door button) then long press the rear hatch button.

Check the override with in the glove compartment.

I concur. Doors have to be unlocked in order to open the hatch remotely.
