How hard is it to replace the light sensor on the dash? Mine doesn't seem to work because both the headlights and the nav display don't change when it gets dark.

Obvious first questions, left steering wheel stalk light control is set to Automatic?
Headlight sensor (small quarter sized dome on the dash) is not covered?
Do the lights work properly when you set control to On (icon with beams shining)?
Advanced questions, check settings under lights for normal duration and sensitivity.

Yes to the first questions. A couple of times cleaning off the senor (just wiping over it) causes things to work ok for a short time but then nothing again.
I'll have to try the lights advance question as I was not aware of this setting! Thanks and I'll report...

I changed the sensitivity to its most sensitive setting but no change.
Once again... anyone know how hard it is to change the sensor itself? Or prove it is the sensor and not a bad cable / connection?

Problem turned out to evidently be a bad/loose connection. When trouble shooting unplugged and reconnected several wires -- now it is back to working all the time!
