I've got a 2010 RX and the interior is in pretty nice condition overall with the exception of the rear pax arm rest. It has pulled apart at the seam on the edge, maybe 10-12" long.
I have not been able to find a replacement cover or a suggestion for a fix.
Would anyone have a suggestion or two I could check into?

Leather? Can you take it off, I mean - cover itself? Take it to upholstery shop, they'll fix it. Or, make matching new. Use old as template.

 

Yes, it's leather. I could dismantle the door panel (I think) and then get the arm rest off to take it somewhere but was looking for something of a DIY fix, if there is one.

 

Nahhh... Don't do it. It'll look like crap. That's from guy who has sewing machines and leathers and glues and good hands. For good fix you have to remove leather cover and get to it from the inside. Or just make new one. That's why upholstery shop. Or, junk yard, of course.
