One way to be sure is to take out the defective light bulb and look. My 2013 RX450h has bi-xeon HID lights.
Usually you will need to replace in pairs so that both are matching "colors" since the bulbs "degrade" as they age.

Good source. I've ordered from Rock Auto before and no worries.
I don't know if your RX came with halogen or HID? Mine came with HID, but I remembered that was an optional feature which was on the RX. But judging from what you had said how much the Lexus dealership has quoted you, I say you got HID Xeon bulbs. The replacement HID bulbs are around $45 to $55 each (so around $100 for the pair). If you know what you are doing......it literally takes like 15 minutes or less to change it out (Wear thick Nitryl gloves and make sure nothing touches the glass part of the bulb as you insert it into the headlight assembly housing otherwise you risk premature burn out. I always clean the glass part with alcohol wipes and let it air dry before installation.) With HID you are dealing with EXTREME high voltage, so make sure EVERYTHING is shut off (I would even pull the car's battery to make sure. But that's just me).
If yours is halogen and not HID, then you will have to stick with halogen bulbs (unless you do a full conversuon to HID OR just go with LEDs. LEDs are a mixed bag of hit and misses. In general terms you want the "FANLESS" LEDs.). Remember the higher outputs on the REPLACEMENT halogen bulbs you get you run a risk of higher operating temperature (also shorter bulb sevice life and premature burn out) and thus "melting" your headlight assembly. This had happened to me on another car many years ago. So BECAREFUL.
Unless you have actually pulled the old defective bulb out and see, you may not be able to really confirm which bulb you got. You may want to call Rock Auto just to make sure before you order.
Good luck.

This is for a pair on Amazon.
On Rock Auto, it is not clear if pricing is for a pair or just for one? If pricing is for a pair, the Rock Auto is way cheaper. If just for one, the Amazon is cheaper.
Also, it is WAY easier to return on Amazon FREE shipping back (if you have Prime)
