Noise with brake pedal release

Noticed a brake noise after releasing the brake pedal when driving. Sounds like a slight groan coming from the brake pedal. Any ideas? Never heard the noise with my 2011 Sienna or 2001 RX 300.

First things first - get down in the floorboard with some lithium white grease and lube the various pivot points on the brake pedal assembly. Easy and quick to do, and it may solve your problem.
