2015 Rx headlights in rain
On my new to me 2015 RX--if I have the headlights on auto and it starts to rain does the headlights automatically come on? I do not have rain sensing wipers. Thanks!

In auto only the daylight running lights will be on, which are the headlights at half power. No tail lights. Unless it gets really dark during the storm. and the car thinks it is night and turns on the headlights and tail lights etc. You should note the Nav screen and dash lights may change appearance at that point.

There is an adjustment for sensitivity. We have ours set to maximum so that the headlights and taillights auto turn on sooner (vs the sensors waiting to be "darker" outside).
During rain or fog, I manually turn on the headlights/taillights/fog lights. BTW, on your speedometer somewhere two "green lights" will lit up to tell you that your headlights/taillights and/or fog lights are on (these "green lights" will come on either in the "auto mode" or if you manually turn your headlights/taillights and/or fog lights on). I always look for these "green lights" on my dash/speedometer area to confirm that all my headlights/taillights and/or fog lights are ON when it's dark/raining/fog. I'm sure you've seen people driving around in metro city areas with no taillights on (only DRL ON) and we're clueless that their headlights/taillights are OFF bc there are enough ambient street lights that it is hard to for then to tell.
