Default Rear seats noise

Is there something to do cure the noise coming from the rear seats when driving on bumpy roads ?

Make sure they are latched properly and in the upright position as they can be reclined a bit. Check for anything broken or stuck back there. Also do some searching as this has been asked and answered before.

I had a similar issue, it turned out the center armrest/cup holder would make noise when up. I just keep it down all the time and no noise.

I rather suspect that is coming from a weak design oh the internal frame of the back of the seats.

I know this has been asked before, but as far as answered... All I can recall is people either placing a towel under the seat or replacing the entire seat. If anyone has some information on what part is causing this I would be interested to know, as this has been bothering me as well.

I think a towel was used to wedge, buffer the seat back from rattling.

But no one seems to know where to wedge the towel?

And I think most don't really want to use that solution.

Fold down the middle seat. WD40 the mechanism in the part of the seat that folds down (the part that attaches to the rear left seat; it’s near the top of the arm) and THEN the metal latch on the right side of the rear left seat. Problem solved.

My 2019 is dead quiet in the 2nd row, either with people or empty....

My 2016, is NOISY in the 2nd row ONLY when empty. The noise only comes from the 2nd row passenger side.

I'm wondering if it could be the seat belt ?
