Hello need help with newly purchased RX350 it's in nice condition except for the airbag light is on. Is there anyway to reset/bypass the light as I'm not planning to reinstall the curtain airbag. I just bought it few days ago and I'm looking at my options.

 

You need an OBDII scanner that can read Toyota SRS codes so you can determine what the problem is.

 

If you don't have the curtain air bag installed the controller will find a fault in the system and turn on the light . You cant bypass anything in the airbag system . If the light is on the whole system in none functional . You really don't want that . What is wrong with the bag has it deployed ?

 

The car got rear ended and the curtain airbags deployed.

 

Then they need to be replaced. Maybe you can get used ones on either eBay or http://www.rancholexusrecycling.com/ or talk to a couple of auto body shops as they will have to do the installation. IT will not be cheap.
