Brake lights RX450h 2010
Hi there, I am trying to seek information how to fix the brake light of Lexus RX 450h 2010 model (Left one, not the driver's one) . I have been told by the halfords that I need to replace the complete light back. This sounds funny, I do understand that these are LED one however, perhaps I need to replace the LED or the fuse. Any member in this forum could help I will be must obliged.

Just visit or call your local dealership parts and ask them. They may be overpriced, but are very helpful. For small items, they may even be cheaper than through the net, once you add shipping costs.
The led strip has to be replaced as a unit but not the stand alone bulbs.
There may be more problems but start at the basic level. LEDs typically dont blow like the filament bulbs.

Check the wiring going to the brake light. Lexus did a really crappy design where it piggy backed another connector onto the brake light wiring. When you twist the wiring for the other bulb you are trying to replace it twists the wires going to the LED brake light as well. Proper procedure is to separate the two connectors before twisting. If not, the wiring can break.
