2014 Lexus RX350 running like a champ with 92k kms. Taking it in for service tomorrow.

1. Oil change - $150 CAD
2. Transfer case fluid change - $55 CAD
3. Rear diff fluid change - $55 CAD
4. Transmission fluid change - $250 CAD

A total of about $500.

I know I can do 1, 2, and 3 myself, but the powertrain warranty still has 20k kms left, so I don't mind paying these ridiculous service fees.

Oil change is the most egregious cost lol, $10 Lexus filter kit which comes with 2 gaskets for the filter cover, comes with filter element, and filter drain tool. 6L of quality 0W20 is about $40 CAD. 30 minutes of my time. 10 minutes to dispose of used filter and oil at recycling center. I can see where the dealership makes its money.

I plan on doing 1, 2, and 3 myself after the powertrain warranty expires.

Also service manager told me that the transfer case and rear diff fluids need to be changed every 55k kms. Is this right?

I should RTFM but I lost the manual and cannot get straight answers by googling.

Lexus dealer east of Toronto chargers $99 for oil change , about a 50 min drive , but car is washed and get breakfast
Local Toyota dealer is $70 and 5 mins away
I have had both knees and hips replace so I am not crawling under any car
check with your local Toyota dealer for pricing

Those are average dealer prices for those services. As recommended above, price shop at the local Toyota dealer.

Or find a trustworthy local indie shop that specializes in Toyota/Lexus.

I thought the transfer case and the transmission uses the same fluid from the same reservoir........ if you do a complete drain, doesn't that in effect change both fluid???

omfg, the transfer case and the transmission use the same fluid? I got charged for the transfer case as a separate line item from the transmission.

Update: From what I gather googling and youtubing, there is a separate transfer case and it uses its own gear oil independent of the transmission fluid. I base this on having seen a YT video where someone does a gear oil change on a Highlander's transfer case. Correct me if I am wrong.

The transfer case is separate from the transmission and takes different fluid (gear oil). I know as I have changed my transfer case fluid twice. You may be confusing the front differential which is integral with the transmission.
The rear differential also takes gear oil.
They did not rip you off.

Look at some of these maintenance links for more details. The Highlander is the same as the RX mechanically. Near the bottom of the list it covers the differential and transfer case fluid change.
