2015 RX 350 Maintenance Required??
My Lexus has been telling me that Maintenance is required for a few days now but it doesn't tell me which maintenance...
Is there anyway to check what service this is without taking it to the dealer? I noticed the maintenance section in the infotainment system had no details on any of the maintenance... I assume this is just for oil but I want to be sure. Is there any way to find out?
Thanks

How many kms/miles on your RX? That'll probably let someone knowledgeable here know all that's needed to figure out what you really need to take a look at.
Weird that the infotainment doesn't show what's needed to be serviced. Normally the items that require maintenance are in red background in the maintenance items menu.

It is an indicator normally for an oil change. After an oil change, you re-set the counter, read your manual. Then it starts showing this reminder. Manual tells you on how to re-set/eliminate.

That light goes on every 5000 miles. However, you only require an oil change every 10,000 miles according to Lexus. It used to be 5,000 miles but when they went to synthetic oil and lengthened the oil change interval, they left the light to go on at 5000 miles so you would increase the dealer's service department income by going in to have them find things to sell you and pay too much to rotate your tires. Only the tires need to be rotated about every 5000 miles, but any gas station or tire store can do this. They can also do your oil change and reset your light. It is easy to reset your maintenance light, but it has been explained many times and you can research it yourself or let them do it.
Look in your manual for what is required at different mileage intervals. Mostly it is checking stuff and replacing engine air and cabin air filters and checking the brakes.

Is the 5000 miles interval set by the dealer or an owner can set through a menu. I do hope owners don't set it incorrectly.
As noted and listed under the service-record-handbook every service does not include oil change.

Thank you!! I'm not sure if the Dealer used synthetic or regular, I did buy the car from a Lexus Dealership so i'm sure they would use synthetic... i'll probably change it myself anyway in the near future just to be sure.
On my old 10' V6 RAV4 I used to use fully synthetic and the dealer recommended every 5k but I let it go to 7.5k and that has the exact same engine as the RX350.

The oil weight required for the engine 0W20 only is available in synthetic. Thus they only had synthetic 0W20.

by default the dealer does what the manufacturer suggests for the model. They can always suggest extra or take directives from the customer.

Oil Changes: According to Scotty Kilmer must change oil every 5K miles, regardless.

Scotty Kilmer said replace oil and filter every 5000 maximum. Do not follow the book, it's misleading !
By the time the car exceeds 80,000 miles no extended warranty is going to save your car's engine, only you can. Replace every 5K miles.
