Default Navi screen auto sleep

Hi,

I cant seem to find my answer anywhere, is there a setting to turn the navi screen off over a period of time?

for example if I am on the 'climate' screen should the screen not turn off over a period of time? I understand if I was using navigation then it should stay on. On my Acura it auto turns off if not in use.

any insight?

No. I think it stays where you are until you change it. At least that is how my 2010 works. I do not know about the newer improved 2013+ models.

On my 2nd gen MY screen goes back to my energy screen(hybrid power distribution) after a set amount of time(seems like 20secs) unless i am using the nav screen regardless of using destinations. On my wife's 2011 the nav screen is always on as a default and comes back on after executing a specific command. ie radio/aux mode change, again, after a preset time . Neither of our screens ever go dark. Never ever.

No auto off. You can manually turn the screen off if you like. On some (earlier I think) models there is a DISP button on the left side of the remote touch assembly. Hitting this button takes you directly to the display settings screen where you can click "Off". On other models, you must access the Display settings through the menu button, but again have to click the "Off" option. The screen returns by pressing the DISP button (if equipped) or any other button if not.

Mine, a 2013 F-Sport with Navigation turns off on its own after about 60 seconds. I've set it up long ago to turn off the radio/mp3 screen so it won't distract me while driving.

If this is exactly what you're looking for, let me know and I'll go through the setup menu and send a few notes.

Cheers.

You don't need to start the engine. Just click push-button once.,

Hit "General"

Auto Screen --> On I believe that this should do it. Let me know please. Thanks

This didn't work for me, it defaults my screen back to the navigation.

For example, I made some climate changes and about 5 minutes later it reverts me back to navigation.

I tried it and yes, it reverted me to Navigation.
What you need to do is once you set it to "On" and click "save", you need to turn the screen off manually.

Now, turn on media by hitting the "media" button so the screen turns on whether it's the radio or the USB .... and within a few seconds it will turn the screen off.
This will always be the case unless you use the navigation.
I guess it's putting the computer into a learning mode.

Let me know.

Thanks

It worked once then reverted back to navigation.

Mine always defaults back to the nav screen but I usually just turn it off manually if I tire of it.
