My wife has a 2015 RX and lately the "Touch" door lock on the passenger side and the tailgate switch (on the gate0 are acting strange. The door when I approach will click almost continually but not unlock. If I use the fob it will unlock. The same is true of the tailgate except it does not click - it just won;t open unless you use the button on dash. I thought perhaps it was a fob battery issue but after putting in new batteries the problem persists. It's not really a show stopper as we can get them ipen but just wondered if this is a big $ repair.

How old is your car battery? As they begin to fail, they create all sorts of strange issues. Our 2015 model (built in April 2015 in Canada) had its factory battery fail in February 2018. These Lexus OEM batteries are mediocre at best.

Thanks for the reply. The battery is new as the original failed on us even though the dealer said it was OK. We can deal with this problem but it is annoying.
