Question No sound speakers

Hi, I have a problem with the speakers in my RX 350, 2010. The radio system works fine, but just no sound coming from the speakers. However, I can get them to work only if I do the following: I accelerate real fast in 1st gear to take the RPM over 4 or 5, then I stop and turn the car off . Then once I start again the speakers work fine until end of the trip. Before I discover this short term remedy, I took my car to the dealer and they said the amplifier was dead and I had to spend $1200 to replace it. I seriously don't think it is my amplifier since it works great when it does.
any ideas what I can do? I appreciate any help

I'd take the RX to a reputable audio/sound system/alarm installer.
They probably have seen this problem before. Even if they did not see rx350 the system is probably similar (if not the same) to Toyota systems.

It would appear that once upon a time your head unit was serviced and taken out. The symptoms you are talking about could be the wire harness for the speakers are not totally plugged in and therefore you see the symptoms you describe. When there is movement, you get your connection. The only way to find out is to tear it down and re-set the plugs for the speakers. It should not take long to do. JM2C.

Similar problem here - No radio/sound from speakers, 2010 Rx 350

Corner Auto Audio Mechanic took out the Amp & it was dead, as suggested by the mechanic I ordered a used Amp from Ebay, & it was not the same as original & a no go.
1 number on the one I ordered was different from the original Amp.although it said was for 2010 RX 350 & they will not exchange for the correct one (or do any refund).

In my presence, that Mechanic had called the Lexus Dealer & the quoted price for a refurbished Amp was $900 to $1000 installed.

Another Auto Sound Tech advised a generic Amp (or some other Sound System) will not work in my RX 350.

I do not know which route to go, either spend $1000 on a Amplifier on a 10 yr old RX 350 or trade it in for next Lexus. Other wise the car is fault less.
