It seems the 3rd Gen is different when it comes to replacing the low beam bulb headlight. Can someone post pictures and do a step by step on how to do this yourself. These is no plastic cover only a metal plate with all kinds of warnings on it. The high beam is very easy to get to. The low beam is a different story. After disconnecting the black harness connector, you have to turn that entire silver assembly counter-clockwise and it'll unlock itself from the housing. From there, the bulb will be located right inside the housing, secured by a wire clip. The wire clip will have 2 D-shaped ends that are hooked into the headlight itself. Gently(!!!) release the wire clip from the hooks with your fingers, the clip should release the bulb. Installation is the reverse of removal. Hope this helps!
So it appears to just be a different cover design and you have to pull the plug first to remove it. The rest is the same as those with a screw off plastic cover.
I just replaced my HID bulb on my '13 about two weeks ago. It's pretty straight forward as they show on Youtube.
You don't need to unplug the black connector. Just turn that whole silver cap counter-clockwise to open it.
Then follow the directions someone has mentioned above to unhook the clip. Once the clip is unhooked you'll have access to the HID bulb.

May be you have LED headlights? Can you post picture of the front?

The 3rd gen RX does not have LED headlights from the factory. You either have Halogen or HID. The parallel thread to this one has more info on replacing the bulb. There are also many youtube videos of many Lexus and Toyota models and some of them share the same design being asked about here.

Yes, the daytime running are LED. The 3 projector elements also within this headlight assembly are LED as well. They were available as an option in US, but pretty rare.
The stock headlamps in my wife's 2015 RX350 FWD are halogen. The stock foglamps are halogen (I replaced the burned-out passenger bulb about three weeks ago). The stock DRLs are LED.
What kind of headlight do I have? I am guessing halogen...
Not as bright as I would like.
That looks exactly like the housing in mine and they are HID not halogen. Many third generation RXs have HID. I can't tell for sure but it looks just like mine. Just FYI, if your bulbs are old they will not be as bright as new bulbs. HID bulbs dim over time. I just replaced the HID bulbs in my daughter's 04 RX and she was amazed at how much brighter they are.
