Default Check BSM, Check AWD, Check ABS

Hello,

I have a 2013 RX 350 F Sport that the transmission died with only 70K miles. It was a headache finding parts for it. Long story short, I got the transmission repaired and the back shock absorbers replaced, but upon starting driving,Check BSM, Check AWD, Check ABS came on. The mechanic did a scan, but the codes are all over the place. I'm not sure what to do. Would the change of the shocks could cause this errors? Could the mechanic left a cable unplugged or something? Just looking for opinions. Thank you in advance for your help.

I am curious as to whether you ever did an ATF refresh prior to your transmission failing at 70,000 miles, or were you still running the factory fill of ATF?

I was still running with the factory fill of the ATF.

Sorry to hear that. The consensus here on the forum is to mitigate the possibility of premature transmission failure by refreshing the factory ATF between 50,000 and 60,000 miles. No such animal as "lifetime ATF" in any vehicle.

Your rear shock absorber replacement has nothing to do with your warning lights. No electrical systems are connected to the shock absorbers.

How does it drive now even with all the warning lights on? If you are lucky he just forgot to connect something and needs to re-check all his work. I think the earlier 8 speed transmissions (which you have) had more reliability problems compared to the 6 speed. They certainly shift a lot worse than the 6 speed.

However, it may be your mechanic made some errors on the internal repairs and is now unable to find and correct them. You did not specify if he just replaced the transmission valve bodies (most common failure issue), or rebuilt the whole thing, I trust he changed the fluid too.
I am surprised he had a hard time finding parts, this is a common transmission used in many Toyota, Lexus, Volvo and other vehicles. Has he rebuilt one of these before?
I suspect this is not a full-time transmission shop and am afraid you may need to get another opinion to resolve your issue if this guy's incompetence has lead you to consult with us online to help resolve your issues.

He had to rebuild the whole transmission and of course changed fluid. I know shocks don't have anything connected to it, but he had removed the 4 tires and I'm afraid he might have either pinched or damaged a sensor putting them back. By the way, truck runs great other than the lights. I think runs better than I bought it 3 years ago. I think trans was failing since I bought it, but never paid attention since I read jerks and slipping on the trans is kinda "normal" in the F Sport models.

Only the ABS wires are sort of near the rear shocks, so it is conceivable he may have been so sloppy he broke a wire.....
