Hey Everyone,
So my 2011 RX wiper arm linkage has detached from the motor/crank? When I look online it says that the plastic bushing on the Lexus isn't replaceable and I need to replace the whole linkage piece. My questions are:
1. Can you seriously not release the plastic bushing?
2. If I do need to get the whole linkage can you point me in the right direction?
Location is Alberta Canada. Thanks!

Go to one of the online OEM Lexus parts dealers as they have drawings that will help you identify what is available to replace your broken component. Also, just because Lexus says it can't be replaced does not necessarily mean that is the case. A resourceful car mechanic may be able to come up with or fabricate a work around solution to the broken plastic bushing. Maybe a bronze bushing would work but that is a guess, I have not seen photos of the arm linkage. Also maybe you could get the whole thing used from a junkyard. The RX 3rd generation has been around long enough, there are many in junkyards.
eBay has many available wiper linkage assemblies, new or used or aftermarket new and all are under $200. It appears that 2010 - at least 2013 all have the same linkage. Some eBay sellers have a repair clip for $4.99 that may solve your bushing issue. However your local autoparts store may also have them.
For OEM parts online https://www.lexuspartsnow.com/ or https://www.mylparts.com/
A great source for used Lexus parts http://www.rancholexusrecycling.com/
Rock Auto sells a Dorman aftermarket wiper transmission linkage https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/...nsmission,8856

Hey!
Yes I did check this out but unfortunately mine is more like the Vensa above and I can't even remove the bushing from the arm! So silly.

I am not surprised since the Venza is a mechanical twin to the RX. I watched most of the video. It appears you need to replace the entire linkage. The aftermarket Dorman linkage is $145 at RockAuto which is much better than the OEM Lexus part price and for a 10 year old car, that is what I would buy if getting a new one. However, Rancho Cordoba Lexus parts is selling on eBay an entire used assembly with wiper motor for $40 plus $25 shipping. You could call and ask if all the ball joint grease seals were intact.
Which arm came apart? Do you have a missing grease seal? Corrosion on the ball?
If it was the one at the motor, I would go to a junkyard and pull the short arm that bolts to the wiper motor after making sure it had an intact grease seal. I suspect that same wiper motor and attached arm are used in many Toyota models such as Highlander, RAV4, Venza and maybe Camry. The model differences would be the length of the wiper transmission linkage arms. Or buy the one from Rancho.
