I was recently in a very bad rain/lightening storm. Immediately afterwards I tried to make a call through my car. When it connected the speaker made a horribly loud screeching sound so I disconnected. The next day I turned on my radio but there is no sound. Any thoughts what might have happened? Thanks!

Could be a blown fuse, a blown amp or a number of things that are difficult to diagnose online. First check for blown fuses. There is a fuse box under the dash near your left knee as you sit in the driver seat. Than another fuse box under the hood. Inside the cover of each is a roadmap of what each fuse protects.
Was your car struck by lightning? If so you may have insurance coverage.
