Default A pillar glass trim loose

Has anyone ever had any success in re-securing the chrome trim piece back into its rubber moulding? I’ve tried to home it for two hours without success. It’s a 2015 450h.

I see 2 options.
1. Go to a body shop or 2 for estimates.
2. Squirt some RTV Silicone or other glue in there and hold in place with painters tape for a day while it dries and hope it holds it down.
