So, out of the blue, I lost all sound (radio, CD, bluetooth, navigation, etc.). The screen showed all activity but there was just no audio or volume control indicator. I went straight to the dealership where they informed me that my Amp had gone bad (to the tune of $1K to replace). I started reading forums and watching youtube videos for others that have had similar issues with sound and was fortunate to find an "easy fix" for this problem. I simply disconnected the positive battery cable and reconnected it, restarted the car and BAM! I had sound. Please try this before taking the advice of a service tech and replacing the amplifier...it may not work for you but it is definitely worth a try.
