Aftermarket entertainment systems/android interface
Hi members...
I have a 2010 Rx350 that came without the navigation system. It has a grey background with black text display and has: multiple disc CD players, MP3 player, bluetooth, satellite,traffic,textFM/AM stereo buttons.
LSailt sells really nice aftermarket systems that have Android interface, bluetooth, wifi, internet, navigation and more, but I am not sure I could install it by buying a used nav joystick ?
Has anyone ever taken navigation system out of an EX and put it in theirs that did not come with it?
Has anyone found a color display to replace the stock non-navigation display?
PLEASE DONT HESITATE TO RESPOND!! I HAVE RESEARCHED FOR MONTHS, and Lexus is no help. They do not authorize changes to entertainment system after purchase.
Thank you!

I looked into doing this when I bought my 2015 RX back in early 2017 as a CPO. Everywhere I went said "You shouldn't do the swap as the HVAC controls are managed in the same system". Which is true..and unless the new system allowed those to be managed, you wouldn't be able to know what the HVAC settings were.
So I decided to just use my phone for everything that was missing. Setup a good mount for it to the right of the screen. Whenever I need a nav, I fire up the maps on the phone...and do most everything else through there too, unless SiriusXM is having a sale, then I'll activate the Sat radio for a few months. It's worked out very well as the phone (iPhone 7 plus) is within reasonable reach.
Can you provide a link to what LSailt has for an offering? I probably won't do the swap, but I'd love to see what they have for options.

The Bluetooth interface works very well, there is no need to install aftermarket audio system.
Reputable stores, like Crutchfield don't offer any.
As far as I know, if you don't have the factory Navigation system there are no options for you.
