Have my 2015 RX350 for on only 2 months, came home in the rain, Vehicle was parked for a whole week. After starting Engine, Malfunction indicator lamp stays on, check AWD System, Slip indicator flashes. Backup light and camera not working, harsh shift into drive, reverse, manual & paddle shifter not working. I have 33000km on Vehicle. What is wrong? ? Any help is appreciated.

Also Check your battery. A weak battery has lower voltage and that lower voltage triggers many warning lights etc that are sensitive to such voltage drops. Many auto parts stores will do a free battery check and also a free battery installation.

Thanks for all the comments, the lights are out. But, shifting into drive or reverse makes a big clonk. Still can’t use the manual or paddles and no gear display, also the backup lights and camera is not working. Guess I have to go to the Dealer.

If it was sitting during the rain, then it should not have done anything to your electrical system in normal circumstances. You may have had mice, squirrels or rats etc nesting in the engine compartment and chewing the wiring. This is a known problem as they apparently like the taste of wire insulation.
Let us know what the dealer diagnoses as the problem.

While I was at a friend’s place it started raining, drove home, put the car in the garage and after sitting for a week my problem started, makes you wonder how reliable Lexus is. Good thing I didn’t had to go someplace important, maybe it was a mistake selling my Infinity which never seen a garage inside except my own. Thanks for all replies.

My RX350 - F is a 2015 model with 34000 KM, no warranty, installed new battery 3 week ago, no accidents and all services performed by Lexus dealer. Vehicle looks like new.

Sounds too much of a coincidence. Maybe the new battery could be it.
Try working with your dealer. Lexus has performed goodwill repairs and charged for labor only. Good luck.

Whenever you purchase a new battery, check the four-digit date code applied to or stamped on its casing. A battery made in October 2020 will show 10/20. If a new battery sits on the shelf in the store for several months or longer, it can go flat. You always want to purchase the newest battery you can find. I have seen new batteries sitting on store shelves that are more than 6 months old.

Last Summe my neighbor bought a new battery and it failed to start the car a few weeks later. I loaned him my battery charger and the battery took almost all day to be brought back up to a full charge. The car has had no battery issues since then. I did not look at the date, but am sure it was old enough to have lost most of its basic charge.
