Dash Speaker connector 2012 ML
Hi
Anyone know what the connector type is for the dash speaker on the 2012 RX 350 with ML sound system? My speaker is blown, the local (Canberra Australia) Lexus dealer quoting AUD$500 for a replacement (not surprised, the quoted AUD$1600 for the front badge!) - so looking to replace with an after market speaker.. I was hoping not to modify the existing wiring harness.

Good luck, that part may not exist, in which case you will just have to cut your wires and attach them to connector wires then to your new speakers. One place in the US with many car stereo adaptors is www.crutchfield.com
You may also want to look into reconing your speaker as opposed to replacing it. Such kits are inexpensive and will solve your blown speaker problem most of the time. There are many online sources if you search and it is not difficult to do yourself. https://www.simplyspeakers.com/mark-...edge-kits.html

You may want to do some searching in the audio sub forum linked below as I suspect ML speakers have the same connectors in many Lexus models.
You may also want to do some parts searching at one of the online Lexus dealers as they have complete catalogs. Some let you enter your VIN to identify the correct parts for your vehicle.

I also recommend re-coning / re-edging the faulty speaker yourself. Inexpensive and relatively easy to do. You are likely to find the kit you will need to effect repairs at simplyspeakers.com.
