Default Fuel filter replacement

Hi,

RX350 2010
I did not found any subject on this.
Where the fuel filter is acutally located? How complex is replacement?

Thanks.

It is inside the gas tank. I have no further information except to state it may be more difficult to replace than you expect. Also, Toyota does not consider it to be a maintenance replacement item.
What is the problem with your RX?

I wanted to add some petrol additivies for fuel injection system cleaning (Liqui Moly) and read that it is good practice to replace fuel filter before, just that.

Some people swear by the additives, personally I stay away for them.

If there is a problem and before embarking on an expensive fix, I would reach out for the additive. So do you have a problem that you are trying to fix?

Since you mentioned petrol (gas in usa), your local petrol may have issues. In some part of the world the underground storage tanks are not sealed and you get bad petrol when ever it rains. Here in USA, the big brands have the additives built in.

If you are just doing maintenance and the vehicle runs fine, just pour the gas additive in the tank and drive. Nobody replaces their fuel filter just to be able to follow the instructions on a bottle of gas additive if they do not have any other fuel problems. It is not needed and a waste of time and money.
Some folks like Salim said, avoid such additives, others such as myself use them. It is your choice.
I usually pour a bottle of Techron fuel system cleaner in the gas tank once or twice a year to help with intake valve deposit clean up and injector cleaning. I do not always use Top Tier gas as it is hard to resist the cheap prices at Royal Farms when I drive to Delaware.
The Liqui-Moly will work fine if you just pour it in your gas.

Thanks for your inputs guys!

I do not have any issue (yet) - just a proactive behavior
I do replace all the filters that are easily accessed. I did not found any subject on that matter for RX350 hence I've asked (as in many cars I found this as a standard servicing procedure).

BTW It's funny how you can identify a person by words he is using
In fact I live in Poland (Central Europe) and found this forum much more informative than ours!

EDIT:
Here we use 95 or 98 octane petrol, or 98 with additives. For european RXes manufacturer is advicing 95, but 98 is still fine.
Here are some of the statistics that our biggest petrol producer provides: https://www.orlen.pl/PL/DlaBiznesu/P...lowiowa95.aspx

Warning ,,, going off topic.

Petrol - gas, boot - truck, spanner- wrench are pretty tame.

Nail clippers - nail cutter

Then there are hilarious
eraser - rubber [object to wipe away pencil mark]

If you use petrol with additive detergents, you don't need to use liquid molly proactively. I don't know the price difference, but it can't be more than a few grosze per liter. I think the quality of your local petrol should be very good, because of the EU requirements.
What mileage are you getting on your European 2010 RX and local gasoline? I mean how many liters per 100 kilometers?

In fact the quality is good and it's matter of "grosze" but I still preffer to add specialized additives :P. I did not reset statistics since i bought it (around 17k kilometers ago) - for that distance the average is 13.6l/100km (17.3 MPG?) - 65% city - high traffic, 8th most "jammed" city in Europe (Łódź), 35% around. When I drive city only with dynamic style it's between 17-20l/100km. I tank (we say "tankować" in polish) fill it with 95 - did not find a noticable difference vs 98
