Default 2010 Halogen High Beam LED Replacement?

I searched but was surprised that I didn't find a direct answer to this.

I replaced the H11 low beam bulbs on my daughter's '10 RX350 (originally with halogen headlights) with LED replacement bulbs a few years ago and they were well worth the cost/effort.

I just bought a set of 9005's for my other daughter's car, but then found a better set and installed them. So I'm left with a set of LED 9005s and I believe the RX uses those for high beams. But I also know there are often troubles putting an LED into a bulb used for both DRL and a headlight function. Since it's the high beam, if the DRL setting will put it on full bright, it would be blinding other drivers - a no-go.

Has anyone put a "canbus-ready" LED in this position? Does it provide low and high light output in DRL/High settings without flicker?

(I assume the DRL is in the HB from what I've read - I need to wait until it's light tomorrow to verify)

Hello,...ever get a reply or figure out if there's an LED that will serve as both the DRL and the High Beam without the flicker at the lower wattage for the DLR?
I just bought a 2010 RX 350, and I'm slowly looking for small but value-added upgrades...

thanks

The DRL will not work with an LED bulb. This has been discussed a few times.
The best value low beam upgrade is to replace the H11 bulbs with H9 bulbs. They are cheap on Amzn at about $9 for one Philips H9 bulb. They are much brighter but do usually burn out after a year or so, but are easily replaced. I have them in my Lexus HS250h. The modification is easy, just clip off part of one tab on the bulb ring. There are instructions all ove the internet with photos, this has been done for years. Google H11 to H9 bulb.

To make the swap easier get a Bulb Zilla harness adapter as with it you do not have to cut the plastic tab on the H9 bulb connector as shown in the video. The metal tab is easily cut with scissors or snips then bend it back and forth until it breaks off.

I replaced my wife's 2018 RAV4 9012 headlight to Osram 9012 LED. In 2018 RAV4, the hi beam and the low beam and the DRL are all use the same 9012 bulb. Osram 9012 LED works fine. Amazon has free return policy, maybe you could buy some LED bulbs from Amazon and test it, if not works, just return it.
