New 2013 RX450H owner. I have the ML sound system. I was hearing a "grinding" noise from the front of the car. After checking under the hood and looking for the root cause I determined it was my CD player. It sounds like it is trying to read a CD once the car is put in ready mode. It lasts several minutes but it only happens once in a while. I have tried to change the audio Source, turn the Stereo off and do other things (Hit Eject/Play) and nothing seems to make it stop. The weird thing is it only happens on occasion, and seems to last for a few minutes. I have yet to try inserting a CD into the player. I am hoping there is not a stuck CD in the payer now causing the issue (Eject does not eject a CD). I did get an extended warranty on the dealer purchase,. so I am hoping if it is something like a CD player issue I can get it fixed under warranty.
Anyone else have this issue or a quick fix?

These are the classic symptoms of a bad air/mix/mode servo in your climate control system. These were well documented in Gen 1 RX's, one of which a I currently have. I had to rebuild the servos (2) in 2010 on my '99RX. I do not know if this applies to the Gen 3's.
