Hi guys, Long time no see. Hope you are all well in this Covid time
I'm going to do the BIG tune up for the car (including repaints, tires, brakes, spark plug?? etc....) Any other things to pay attention to or need to be done? Any one can help me a list to watch for?

Thank you

ATF drain-and-fill.

Replace the shocks if they are still original.

Why would you need to repaint the car at 120,000 miles?

When replacing the rear bank spark plugs also replace the coils only because it is such a pain to get access to them each time.
Change ATF as recommended above.
Change engine coolant.
Change brake fluid.
If AWD change rear differential fluid and transfer case fluid.
Check serpentine belt.
Inspect front and rear suspension and steering components.
If replacing shocks & struts get Bilsteins as recommended elsewhere in this forum where you will also find the parts numbers by searching Bilstein. The B4 line is for the original ride and the B6 line is for the F-Sport ride and handling. These are specified for the 2014+ Toyota Highlander but are an exact fit for the RX as they have the same suspension.
If replacing front struts also replace the strut mount bearing.

I just bought a 2012 that's coming up on 100k. I changed the air intake and cabin air filters myself with quality replacements off amazon ($20)

Today I took it to Toyota service (no Lexus dealer near me) and i asked them to change following fluids: (their estimate)
Transmission ($275)
Coolant (185)
Brake (129)
Power steering (159)
It had an oil change 3k ago so I skipped that this time.

I asked for a quote on rear diff and trans case fluids, (I might get that done elsewhere depending on how much they want)Spark plugs were original those are being replaced ($394)

I asked them to inspect:
Brakes and brake lines,
Suspension
kdss system

This car is from Pittsburgh so I asked them to check all metal hose connections and fittings under the hood and all metal straps on the underbody for rust.

Teagan - The RX has electronic power steering. There is no power steering fluid to change. If they try to charge you for this they are robbing you and it would be considered consumer fraud by your state's consumer protection department.
Those prices are not bad for a dealer. I would also ask them to service the brake calipers - clean and grease the caliper slide pins.

I posted in the wrong part of the forum. I have a GX 460. I'm sorry 😔

Default 120,000 mile service requirements

As part of my 120k service I'm replacing the spark plugs and also considering replacing the ignition coils, especially the rear ones at least. I've not had any issues with the current coils, no misfires or check engine light, so just wondering if its really necessary and should I just wait until the originals fail? Also, with regards to replacements, would it be best to stick with Denso OEM, has anyone used the any of the cheaper brands you find on ebay/amazon? Cheers, G

If the factory coils are not giving you any problems, I would keep running them until they do. And when you decide to replace them, stick with genuine Denso coils. Aftermarket coils cause so many problems in so many different vehicles.

I would replace the rear coils only because it is so difficult to get back there and access them. Since you are doing the plugs, invest a little more and replace the rear coils now to avoid having to tear everything apart again next year to replace the rear coils. Also they are often damaged during removal due to old age and stiff plastic.
As RX in NC said stick with Denso coils. They really are better quality and you don't want to go cheap on the rear coils and have to go back next year because one or more failed.
Good Luck with the project!
