Hi all. I have a 2010 Lexus Rx with a so called "premium" sound package. 3 ways in the front doors plus a center dash speaker and a sub.
The head unit has bluetooth and aux. Sound is pretty good. Better than normal factory but not stellar.
There is only treble, mid, and bass controls. No DSP.
So...
Would I hear a difference if I sound deadened the doors and upgraded all front speakers to upper level Morels? Or would it be wasted money, since I don't have DSP?
Thanks in advance for your input.

First, Welcome to CL.
You have to determine the factory speaker impedence as you need to match it to get the most power from the factory amp and what size speakers will fit the various locations. You are not the first person to think about this upgrade but not many have actually done it. More have added subwoofers and amplifiers.
See this https://www.clublexus.com/forums/rx-...placement.html
And this https://www.clublexus.com/forums/rx-...-vs-stock.html
Read this linked search about speaker impedence to learn more and see what some others have done. https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sea...rchid=24072155
I would also check the https://www.crutchfield.com/S-S5UDWPnbZxv/
to see what their experts have determined will fit and is appropriate for the RX. They do the research to figure this out and you may find another speaker brand may be a better fit.

I noticed the Lexus 12 speaker premium system does sound very good in my 2015 model; if the bass level is adjusted to less than midway on the EQ. The mids and highs are pretty good sounding for stock speakers, but the factory woofers sounds distorted with the EQ set to over midway. I will have to add an aftermarket subwoofer box or upgrade the stock subwoofer in the trunk area with a separate amp to get clean low end bass that is not muddy sounding.
