Though I did replace rotors/brakes(all around), sway bar end links(front) and B6 all around. Everything feels good lol.

The OEM shocks was leaking oil so this worked out well.
So I just picked up a 2010 with 89K and the rear shocks were replaced at the dealer 4 years ago when it had 50k. This will probably be my first major mod. I usually prefer oem parts but after reading all these threads I’ve been convinced the Bilsteins are better than the oem ones. I’m still not sure which is better the B4 or the 6. With the 6 that you installed is the drive still Lexus Cushy or does it feel like an Acura where you feel every bump?

WIsh I could feel what the b4's are like too but the b6's so far has been pretty good, it feels planted and solid and stiffer for sure. However I don't feel every bump on the road.

I would say the B6s are more like an Audi vs a Cadillac. If you're looking for cloud-like hovercraft smoothness, you may not like the Euro ride of the B6. You will feel the stiffness and feel planted to the road with the B6, but the bumps and the noise from the bumps will be more than the B4 or OEM non-F-Sport ride. It's not jolting...the bumps are really absorbed well, but you will feel the bigger cracks in the road.

I recently changed the struts on my 2010 RXh and couldn't be happier. I changed them at a time when most other struts were out of stock during the height of the pandemic. I paid 100 bucks on Amazon for these and couldn't be happier. They fit perfectly. The ride is perfect. Not too hard and not too soft either. My strut mounts had gone bad so I decided to change the struts also. I know they're not name brand but who cares? I love the ride.

What strut did you use?

A brand called Evan Fischer. They looked identical in every way to the originals and like it said, they were direct replacements. I paid 80 bucks for the full install and couldn't be happier for the ride. I see now the price has gone up to 137 on Amazon. The ride is definitely better IMHO. Ymmv.

That explains the larger spring seats for the Highlander struts. Toyota apparently has different springs on the Highlander than the RX starting in 2014.

Looking at strut applications for the Sachs 317642 & 643 they are listed for the 2010-2019 RX. and 2010 - 2013 Highlander This indicates the 4th gen RX springs should fit the 3rd gen RX too.

The 2014 - 2019 Highlander has the same rear suspension as the 3rd and 4th gen RX350, which uses shock absorbers and separate springs.

The 2010 - 2013 - 2nd gen Highlander has the same front suspension as the 3rd gen RX350.
However, the 2nd gen Highlander has a different rear suspension that uses struts. They changed that in the 3rd gen Highlander so it has the same platform front and rear as the RX.

To summarize you want the Bilstein B6 front struts that fit the 2010 - 2013 Highlander and the Bilstein B6 rear shocks that fit the 2014 - 2019 Highlander.
So OP’s first post is what will work on the 4th gen RX? Looking to get some stiffer ride!

Yes what OP bought will work. They will work someone with a 4th gen RX-Fsport did it recently using 2014-2019 Highlander front struts and rear shocks. I believed it’s called “Replacement suspension for F-Sport”. I don't know how OP couldn't get the struts on though as I used these same 2014-2019 Highlander struts on a 2010 RX350.

@MattRX

I noticed the 3RX has like a rear stabilizer bar that mounts on-top of rear sway bar. Do you know of this? P/n 48832-48060

@IntrinoX

I do actually. the 2013-2015 F-Sport comes with it that brace and my 2014 F-Sport has it as well. I never saw it on a non-F car. Chances are it'll directly fit your car as you have the same rear subframe as me. The 16+ RX has different part nos. for the brackets but from what I see they look basically identical.

Putting out great info for me! I need to stiffen up my ride. It’s starting to make me nauseous each time I drive it lol.

They're cheap too - only $60 bucks!

Hey, that's not bad at all! Definitely let me know if you notice a difference! The Bilsteins made a huge difference and I bet you'd love them. I am also planning on getting a Hardrace #8983 25.4mm sway bar soon! That should fit your car as well.

According to their site, it fits from 2008 to 2022! So that additional bar I mentioned will definitely fit.

Where are you getting the Hardrace 8983 from? I have seen them in the US on both ebay and a site called Aleks Racing and he has a bunch of Hardrace stuff
