I recently noticed the rubber or vinyl strip located under the front windshield glass is coming apart. Where can I find the part number for this item and is it easy to replace? This is located right under the front windshield near the wiper arms. Thank you!
If you need to replace the windshield surround gasket-weatherstrip that is not something you can do at home. If it is not leaking, you could slap some clear silicone RTV in the gap and just move on and save your money for the 401k.
You need a professional glass company to properly deal with the replacement of that gasket-weatherstrip. Removing the windshield takes special tools and knowledge and making sure it all comes out and goes back together properly without leaks or breaking the glass is best left to an experienced pro. Since no insurance is involved I suggest you call a few local car glass companies for estimates.

You are correct about the windshield sealant but looking at the OPs pictures, it seems they’re talking about the windshield cowl cover.
@OP: that part is clipped in underneath the windshield wiper arms. You can find better instructions in this video. Skip to the cowl replacement part at 1:29
