Default Brake pads and Rotor for RX350 2015

Hi All,

On Rock Auto, they have Power Stop and Centric brand. Just wondering if anyone have use them and are they any good? If I get the heavy duty long life pad and rotor do they last longer vs the premium and daily driver? I don't do any towing. Just daily driving. Just wondering if it worth spend the extra money so I don't have to change that often.

I really like the Wagner ThermoQuiet brake pads (which are also available on rockauto.com). Been running them for at least 10 or 12 years on all of our vehicles, including my wife's 2015 RX350. Great stopping power, silent as a tomb, and they last a long time. Very reasonably priced, too.

I like to buy them as a set with Rotors since the company probably test the whole thing together so maybe you get better performance? For some reason they don't sell the Wagner as a set. It's the same price on Amazon after tax and shipping.

As long as you get new rotors there is no magic benefit to having the pads and rotors being from the same brand. The rotors are just big chunks of machined metal, some are coated to prevent rust.
Brake pads make the difference. I have been using the Raybestos Element 3 a/k/a EHT3 hybrid pad for several cars and like them a lot for improved braking, quietness, low dust and longevity. Plus they are less expensive than many other pads.
If buying from Amazon double check and cross reference your parts numbers elsewhere to make sure they sell you the correct part. Do not trust their recommendations.
