RX350 2011 Apple iphone 12 pro max ios bluetooth incoming phone call disconnects
I have had this 2011 RX350 for quite some time.
In the past, I have successfully used an iPhone 7 plus with it by pairing bluetooth with the car's bluetooth (so that I can make/receive phone calls), and also with Car's audio bluetooth system (to listen to songs).
When i start my drive, phone gets connected to car audio, music from phone autoplays in the car, and when I receive a call, the RX350 screen shows incoming call, I can accept the call, complete the call, hangup either using car or phone, and then the music from phone continues to play.
As you already know the car has 2 places for bluetooth connection (one is in the Car's Phone section, and also in Audio Section).
In the audio section, the option "from vehicle" is selected.
Now, since I got the iphone 12 PRO max, I had to re-pair in PHONE and AUDIO.
But now the audio plays, but when a call comes in on the phone, nothing shows up on the vehicle screen for like 6-8 seconds and then it shows as "incoming call" and then instantly shows "Disconnected"
I have done forget bluetooth on ios, remove bluetooth connection from phone and audio sections completely, re-did the entire bluetooth connection setup in both "phone" and "audio" section of the car.
Did not help.
If I do not setup bluetooth in AUDIO section, then i can successfully make/receive calls.
Its almost like now the phone does not honor that the RX350 has 2 bluetooth connections (one to phone section, one to audio section of the car) and does not know how to quickly switch without disconnecting, since its technically 1 single bluetooth SSID
Does anyone know how to fix this.

Nothing in your car changed, and your old phone worked fine, so this sounds like your iPhone issue. You should check the iPhone forums.
Try going to Settings/ General/ Reset/ Reset Network Settings. That won't erase any data on your device, but you may have to sign back into Wi-Fi networks you've previously signed into (and change the name of the iPhone if you previously changed it to anything other than "iPhone"). That ought to clear this up, unless it is a hardware issue.

Alrighty, wanted to update the thread for everyones benefit.
None of the above helped.
iOS surely had a bug.
in iOS 14.6 they fixed the bluetooth bug and now the problem is resolved.
Release notes of 14.6 says they fixed this issue.

- Bluetooth devices could sometimes disconnect or send audio to a different device during an active call
