Dashboard and panel lights shut off completely when headlights are on at night
2010 Lexus RX350 (NoNav), dashboard and panel lights shut off completely
Hello,
Title says it all. This has been happening in the last few weeks with our car. We tried increasing the brightness of the dashboard lights and screen panel, but this hasn't solved our problem. Oddly this only happens at night, or whenever we pass under a bridge or tunnel. When it's day outside everything works fine, so I suspect it has something to do with the sensor or a hidden button we might have touched. Before we take it to the mechanic, we want to know if anyone knows some potential solutions to fix this problem. Thank you..

Have you looked in the owner's manual for more instructions on setting and adjusting the dash lights? The method if you do not have navigation is different than if you have nav. Here is a link to the Lexus site where you can pull up the manual and search it.

On my 2010 450H I have dash brightening up/down buttons [left knee area]. They come into play during night time, to help bring relief to eyes due to over bright cluster. These buttons do nothing during day light. Adjust by repeatedly pressing the + at night time.
Please come back and state if this worked for you or not. Please look at my previous posts in this thread. Crickets!
