Hello again Lexus peoples. My 2010 RX I’ve noticed lately seems to be having a bit of a problem. I’m having to adjust the seat via the buttons on the drivers door after getting in. It used to be automatic, I think, when I plugged in the seatbelt. Now many times it doesn’t work. Thoughts? Fuse? Where to start?

Have you had a dead or disconnected battery recently? You may need to
"reinitialize" the seat position sensors. Car running in Park, move the seat
every direction possible from each extreme to the other twice. Fully forward
and back, front lift up and down, recline fully and upright etc. Now establish
your best position and reset the memory, hold set and also press a numbered
button.
Have you noticed if the Auto open and close windows and sunroof are also
misbehaving? Also caused by a low voltage, dead or disconnected battery.

If you make even the slightest manual adjustment to your seat position and then exit the vehicle, the seat position will not automatically return to the memory position linked to your key fob the next time you enter the vehicle and plug in your seat belt. If that is the situation, then it is necessary to push the memory button on the door.
Edit: It may work as I stated whether or not you have linked your memory position to your key fob.

Hmm. Somethings up. Battery is fine, have not replaced it lately. My key fob doesn't have buttons for seat settings...unless its automatic or something b/c there's only 4 buttons on the remote. Right now the seat is working hit or miss. I can sit in the seat with the door closed and plug in the seatbelt. Nothing happens. Then unplug it and do it again, and sometimes it works and moves the seat and lowers the wheel.

My 2010 doesn't have anything on the infotainment system for synching the seat memory. I only have the small screen for the radio listings. I always use the same fob which basically stays in the car. I tried the seats again this morning. Same thing...sometimes works, sometimes does nothing.

Triggering the memory seat/mirror/wheel position with the key fobs is pretty easy.
Go ahead and set your positions and while holding the Set button also press 1 (or 2,3)
Now, with only one (1) key fob inside the running RX press and hold 1 (or 2,3) and at
the same time press the inside door handle mounted "Unlock" button. Hold until it chirps.
Now when you approach the locked car with fob #1 and open the driver's door it will take
everything to position #1! You may change and reset any component and the trigger will
still work.
Note 1: It is responding to the Unlock function, if you leave the car unlocked in your
garage it will not cause the seat to move because you are not unlocking the car.
Note 2: If the settings are for a very petite driver you may find that having the seat etc
move to the driving position is too close for easy entry. To "Untrigger" a fob just have
only the one fob present in the car and press and hold "Set" then press and hold inside Unlock.

OK. I've got the remote linked to the seat.
And yet, the seat still does not move every time when I get in. It's the same as before when I plug in the seatbelt. Guess a dealer visit is next?
