2013's also was the first to be able to pair the Bluetooth for both phone and contacts and music in one
operation. While the 2010 - 2012's were an upgrade from the phone only 2009's and earlier you must pair your
phone in two steps to enable the media. You also must trigger the contact update in the car when you
add entries to the phone. New models do that automatically with a brief delay in being able to use the
voice command while it happening.

It’s actually a totally different radio even though the screens are the same. The 10-12 have the processor for the radio In the back of the center console, while the 13-15 have it up front. The 13-15 is allot more modern and you can setup the beatsonics cellphone mirroring. I don’t remember the specifics of what changed but I know the 13-15 was a big upgrade performance wise.

The 10 to 12 have the Nav split capability but just not for Audio? That's ridiculous that a FW/Software update couldn't get it done.

I agree that the system looks much modern but the heart of those systems could be the same or very little difference. Lexus chose not to update the 10 to 12 to create demand for new models.

I’m telling you it’s not it’s way different. I originally wanted to do the cellphone mirroring and watched allot of videos and read allot about the Lsalit units. There was a big hardware upgrade in the 2013 even though it’s the same screen. Likely the same way that on the 2020 RX they came out with apple play but the older 2019 weren’t compatible because the processor / operating system couldn’t handle it. Honestly I wish it was the same head unit so that I could install a beat sonic screen mirroring device. Lexus will always be one generation behind everyone else with there headunits/ gauges so we get what we get. Think about it last year was the first year the RX got apple car play, the 100K LX and the GX don’t even offer car play. Kias made apple CarPlay standard pretty much across the board in 2014.

Nav. Settings
I don't know what specific version of maps I have but is there a way to split the screen where one half is map and the other half is audio? I recently came across a 2010 RXh for sale where I saw a picture with exactly that but I cannot replicate on mine.
Does an update give this ability? Thanks.

On my lexus 2013 rx350, i have it set at half map and half audio.
( if i remember), there is a button on the nav. screen call "MAP MODE". Click on that and pick your option.
