2015 RX450h - RES+
We recently purchased a 2015 RX450h and taking delivery today however I couldn't find any information on the remote start. Is remote start standard on 2015 and onwards vehicles? if not, can I add this to the vehicle to get that?

I think you would need the 240 dollar kit on the page you have the link to. I wouldn’t buy the RES+ because they are discontinuing the smart app to remotely start with the app. I’m not sure if 2015 came with remote start and you just needed a subscription to enform and then the app would start it. I added RES to my 2014 Es350, it was not hard but I only use the remote fob and no app. If it indeed is already equipped you ought to try the remote fob procedure to remote start. In succession, press the lock button twice, then a third time and hold the lock button down, after the beep denoting the vehicle is locked you will get another beep about 3 seconds later which indicates a remote start has been initiated and then the car will start. Active enform subscriptions are supposedly required for this feature, many members claim theirs works without an active enform subscription.

Hi. I have a 2015 lexus rx 350 and last week I did the 90k service at the dealership. I asked them about the remote + and apparently it was made for these model years RX (2015). They quoted me 599 for the system and 600 for installation. They gave me a preferred customer discount which brought the total to $900. They give you one year free subscription for mobile app support and then it's 85 Usd a year. That is all pre sales tax.
To be honest I found the amount not worth it.
Hope this helps.

Thank you, after taking delivery the dealer was able to confirm that the car did not come with it and recommended an after-market solution since it is going away end of the year.

I am never in favor of after-market [dealer or 3rd party install]. When it goes bad [and it does], it becomes a headache.
But then I live an area where the climate does not demand a need of a remote starter.
