Default 2010 RX350 Bluetooth Issues

Anyone had issues with Bluetooth dropping out while playing audio? My RX would play for about 2 minutes and then drop the audio. Part of me thinks it's my phone but I haven't had this issue with any other cars. Is there a workaround or is my radio screwed up?

Start with the phone troubleshooting:

Restart the phone
See if it’s happening with every app
Unpair from the Nav and re-pair.
Check for software updates on the phone
Find another phone and test with the car

Have you made any recent changes to the phone like a major software update or bought a new model?

Thanks for the tips, Hayk. I just bought the car about a month ago and I'm still using the free XM so I don't have any historical data to compare to at this time.

So far I've tried to unpair/delete portable player and phone devices from the car and then re-pair. This didn't fix the problem

I'll give the rest a try and report back

Default Bluetooth

I’ve never been able to play music or podcasts from my phone connected by Bluetooth only in my 10’ rx350, and I have the newer model out out later in 2010 (more comparable to the 2011). I’ve only been able to connect when my phone is on the usb cord plugged in (IPhone 11 pro max). If I were you I’d just be glad it works Sometimes lol and stick to keeping it plugged in. Sometimes I have to unplug, disconnect and reconnect even with it plugged in!)

That sounds like you only paired it as a Phone and not as a Music player. There are unfortunately two different setups in the Lexus Nav and they’re found in two different menus.
