Hi All,
Is it possible to have the rain sensing wiper feature turned off and just use the wiper switch dial as intermittent wiper command. I do not care for the rain sensing feature. I had the dealer do this for me on my 06 LS430 using the techs scan tool.
****Update**** Unlike my LS, this feature is not convertible to standard intermittent wipers using the dealers scan tool.
Thank you!
Tom

Or unplug the rain sensor. The bottom of the sensor on the windshield, if pulled out a bit will stop it from working.
I learned this accidentally when I bought a 2016 Toyota Sienna Limited AWD (29,000 miles) last August and found the rain-sensing feature did not work. I reached up to the sensor inside the windshield and felt the bottom part was loose. I pushed it back in and they worked! I suspect the detail guys at the Ford dealer where I bought it managed to knock it loose cleaning up the vehicle.
