TPMS Warning light
Hello All, i need some help.
i just put on my Winters tires( no TPMS) , but i notice the tire warning light flashes ( getting to be very annoying). i do have a reset button, if i press the reset button 1: will the light go away. 2: when i put the summers on ,would i need to reprogram the summer tires TPMS?

If the sensors are gone or a battery in one has died there will be no response for all the IDs which is an error condition causing the blinking TPMS symbol on the dash.
I installed 2 new wheels on our RX350 with new TPMS sensors and got the blinking dash symbol.
After installing the other 2 wheels with new sensors I updated the saved IDs in the computer memory with the new sensor IDs and all is good.
I use Techstream loaded on an old Thinkpad just for things like this and it has paid for itself.
If you are running 2 different sets of tires I've read you can get a set of cloned sensors so the computer would not have to be updated.

Since your winter tires & wheels do not have TPMS the light will never go out.
Black electrical tape will help as I doubt you want to spend a couple of hundred dollars to install new TPMS sensors in your winter tires.
All the reset button under the dash does is set the target air pressure which if the tires get 4 pounds under it the warning light goes on.
