Question Question about Tire Alloy Rims 2010 lexus RX 350

Hello Friends,
I recently own 2010 lexus rx350 around november. Currently, it is equipped with winter tire and lexus factory rim. I also have summer tire with me. I was looking to get a new rim and looking at marketplace.
Currently, the size specs of my tire and lug bolts are as follows:

235/60R18- Summer and Winter Tire
18" rim with 5x 114.3 lug bolt

With that in regards when shopping for rim do I just have to consider 18" Rim with 15 x 114.3 lug bolt or I must also take consideration of 235/60 as well. I just want to make sure that the alloy rim that I buy fit properly.

Any suggestions appreciated, Thank you in advance!!

Welcome to CL and your new to you RX.

The wheel specs are different and independent of the tire specs.

I am unclear are your Summer tires 235/60/18?

The OEM 18 inch wheel is 7.5 inches wide it has a 60.1 bore center (where the wheel hole mates to the ridge on the vehicle) a 35mm offset (which is the distance between the bolt area and the back of the wheel) and a 5 x 114.3 bolt hole diameter.
This same size wheel is shared by many other Toyota and Lexus models. If you shop Craigslist or eBay for used wheels (which is what I would do - there are a lot of used wheels) you can get those that fit the Lexus ES350, RX350, RX450h, NX300 etc, Toyota Camry, Avalon, Highlander, Sienna, RAV4.

You should stick with the original tire size.
If you go to a reputable place such as Tire Rack they will help you find the correct fitting aftermarket wheels.

Lexus RX 2010 RX450h/350
– Generation: AL10 [2009 .. 2015]
– Market: USDM
- Offset: 35mm
– Center Bore: 60.1 mm
– PCD: 5x114.3 (5x4.5)
– Wheel Fasteners: Lug nuts
– Wheel Tightening Torque: 103 Nm
– Thread Size: M12 x 1.5

Default Tire rim size

Hello Clutchless,
First of all Thanks a lot man! so while buying a rim I must also consider the Tire size that would fit on that rim so that everything must be aligned. Got it, Thanks a lot, This answers my question.

The vehicle speedometer, and transmission gearing etc are designed to work accurately with the factory size tires.
Now you can go up to a 19 inch wheel, but then you need a different tire size I think it is 235/65/19 but Tire Rack or other internet searches will tell you that.

Thank you Clutchless, one last question. I have found a rim on marketplace which I think matches but is .5 bigger in size
Mine current one is
Size 18 x 7.5
Hub 60.1
18" rim with 5x 114.3 lug bolt pattern

and the one that I found on marketplace is
Size 18 x 8
Hub 60.1
18" rim with 5x 114.3 lug bolt pattern

So as you can see the one that I found is 0.5 more would that RIM still fit even though its 0.5 more than factory specs will that be allright?

I think an 8 inch wheel is an improvement on the narrower factory wheel.
It will be fine if the offset is correct or within 5 mm of the factory 35mm offset.

What do they state is the offset?
Paste a photo and the wheel specs. Where did you find it?

Hello Clutchless,
This is the specification I was referring to. I believe that everything on this description is matching except the size which is little off by 0.5(please refer to the arrow) since default factory size is 18 inches by 7.5 however this rim size is 18 inches by 8.

This is the wheel rim I was referring to.

You are focusing on the wrong measurement. The width is fine, I have 8 inch wide wheels. But the offset is off by 7mm which is a potential problem as they could rub the struts and brakes.

I would not get those wheels. Find something with the correct offset that you know will not rub the brakes or struts. You don't want to get those and try to install them only to find they don't work.

They may fit but the offset is 42mm which is 7mm greater than stock. This pulls your Wheel & tire closer to the suspension and brakes. Plus being wider makes them more likely to interfere with stuff.

How much are they?

I bought my wheels here several years ago and they have been great.
These guys sell replica OEM style wheels with OEM specs. Do a search for the 2010 Lexus RX350. As you will see they list several Toyota models that take the same size. Or there search engine may screw up as it did the second time I tried to use it today. At first it showed 38 wheels, then none!

This has been a great resource for someone new looking for a tire in SUV, Thanks @Clutchless . I think I would have factory spec size and make sure everything and every numbers are matching.

I would also recommend OEM Toyota or Lexus wheels. You can’t beat OEM for dependability and durability. Aftermarket wheels seem like a great deal until they aren’t. The saying cheap for a reason definitely applies to wheels. They will look pretty but all it takes is one hidden pothole and bye bye rim. 18’s can be had pretty cheap as most people want the bigger OEM wheels. I posted my original 18’s with almost new Pirelli tires for $600 on offerup and craigslist and it took 4 months before eventually someone gave me $500 for them.

Just for reference I previously had a 2019 RX and I upgraded that one to bigger wheels. When I bought the 2010 I had the brand new set of 18’s in the garage so I threw them on. I see these on Craigslist super cheap all the time. On the Gen4 I think they look horrible, but on the Gen 3 I think they look great.

Wheels on my 2019

Same exact set of wheels on my 2010

Thank you man, the 2019 is gone but never forgotten!! I just wanted to clarify that there are quality aftermarket wheels like Enkei and BBS to name a few of my favorites. But your realistically looking at a few grand even if you do find them used. On my 2019 I purchased a set of the 20” OEM takeoffs off a guy that had upgraded to 24” wheels on his gen4 a month after buying it. Those also look great on the gen3, a few members have them if you search for the thread but those will run allot more. I was originally going to sell both pairs of 18’s to purchase the 20’s for my gen 3 but I loved the look of the gen4 18’s on the gen3 when I tried them on.

My old 2019 after getting 20’s

You will be able to find those by May. Some of the Venza, Sienna and Highlander wheels are also very nice.
Look around the Wheel Collision web site as they have photos of all the Lexus and Toyota wheels by model etc. Click on the catalog box link to search by manufacturer. https://www.wheelcollision.com/
Then you can see some of the other available 18 inch wheels and know what models and years they are from.
They sell remanufactured-repaired wheels. I have used them a couple of times, exchanging a damaged wheel and getting a replacement.
