2010 rx spring noise
my rx has a strange spring noise. happens usually going up or down something usually while turning on the front right side.
i think the noise is similar to this:
but more of a spring noise.. i replaced my swaybar links. also jacked up the car and wiggled around the front tires.. doesn't move.
there are no leaks by the shocks and the shock towers look fine.

It could be a worn strut mount bearing. Or there could be damage to the strut mount that you cannot see. Or a spring seat is torn.
Or it could be something else and I think it calls for a physical examination by an experienced professional mechanic. Not the dealer. Find a foreign car specialist.
This is just a strut. Over half the cars made have struts and they are all about the same. All good mechanics are familiar with working on them.
How many miles are on it? Are those the original struts etc.?

The Carfax indicates one of the struts was replaced. Maybe that's it.
Thanks

i finally replaced my strut mounts. i thought it was the lower control arms at first.
the sound is exactly like this video
i also discovered i have two different struts on the front of my car.. gonna leave it as it doesn't seem to hurt anything =D
i used 4 spring compressors to do this for safety reasons, and most likely necessary. I have air tools (air impact/air socket). A high quality air impact gun is a must for this job.
