Default Front Lower Ball Joints

2010 RX450h 50,000 miles

Ive noticed what appears to be an abnormal amount of grease residue around the front ball joints on the front hub assemblies. I noticed this about a year ago and brought it my mechanic’s attention but he said not to worry about it for now. What are your thoughts, would you be concerned or wait till they develop free play?

Visually I see so issues. I would wait until there is play or there is some other issue and combine the repair.

To add to this...I believe the formal toyota "spec" is also to wait for play in these kinds of joints - leaking, weeping etc doesn't mean the part should be replaced (per Toyota). Heck, I think even shocks need to leak past the drip bowl in-order to be considered for replacement.
