With 9k on odo, I would do the change before the trip and not as the last item. I would give myself a cushion of 2 days to make sure everything is good.
Incidentally the long runs mostly in cruising is easier on engines vs stop and go short trips.

No worries - it will make no difference whether you do your oil change before the trip or after the trip. A decent-quality 0W20 oil can go 15,000 miles or more with no problem. Some of these oils are now guaranteeing 20,000-mile oil change intervals.
I'd do it before the trip. 9k on oil isn't bad, just something I wouldn't do. I change mine every 5k miles or 6 months with full synthetic as well. Just a matter of preference at this point. Oil color looks fine. You aren't going to hurt anything by waiting, more so peace of mind doing it before the trip.
How was last oil change done at 73K if you change it every 10K? Did you change original oil at 3K? I’m with post #3, it don't matter. Change it as your OCD dictates. I would change it after in the event the car is stolen or lost in a collision.
Actually, my OCD would have me change the oil now, then do the next one at 90K. I would be more concerned about checking the battery with a load tester to ensure it will not die on you on the trip.
