Default NEED HELP Picking BEST Dash Cover

My wife has a 2013 RX350 she found with 40k miles (I inherited her '03 RX300 w/ 57k miles), but we are moving to Phoenix (Uggh! HOT) and she needs a dash cover for the black vinyl cover.

We a have Cover King molded cover on the .03 RX300 that is hard molded and fits like a glove. Most dash covers are floppy pieces of carpet that are wrinkled and need Velcro to hold them in place (the Cover King fits perfectly and never moves a mm, even with a GPS up on top).

They do not make the hard molded (t's carpet but thermo formed and is semi-rigid) for the 2013, or we'd buy one in a heartbeat.

Anyone know of the "perfect" dash cover for her 2013 (no heads up display) that doesn't like a bad hairpiece on a portly used car salesman in a checkered sports jacket?

Thanks,
Bob
(Any resemblance to a REAL portly, bald used car salesman is purely coincidental, none of who were hurt in the making of this Forum Post)

Back in April I installed a molded plastic dash cover on my 1999 Ram. I got tired of looking at a couple of cracks that had been there for years and were gradually spreading. I found my cover at www.dashskin.com. It fit like a glove and looks 100% original even down to the proper interior color.

I could not find they make dash covers-only replacement skins for cracked ones you adhere to the damaged one if I read the website properly.
Anyway, they don't make Lexus skins past 2009 vehicles.

Her car is literally showroom new from the PNW where dashes never crack (or rust-amazingly kind to vehicles).
We're hoping to keep it that way with a carpet dash cover.

We are moving to Phoenix where the sun damages dashes and turns a car w/ a black dash into a greenhouse, so she is looking for a carpet type
cover that goes OVER the dash to keep the car cooler, and never crack.

The RX-300 cover is molded to fit perfectly and sits on TOP if it's dash, and that's what we'd LIKE to find, but the makers of that one don't make one for the 2013 RX-350.

Perhaps you can custom-cut one from a carpet remnant purchased from a carpet store.

Default dash cover

You might try this place out. Cover seems to work well. Never used any velcro just tuck the leading edge in where the glass meets the dash.

Custom Dash Covers (dashdesigns.com)

The complex curves and multi-levels would make that a challenge for the best seamstress I am afraid, and it would take almost infinite numbers of slivers of carpet sewn perfectly to lie flat on he curvaceous dash.

Does it fit nicely, with no "pooching" or wrinkles?

The molded CoverKing on my RX-300 is one piece the obviously put in a big press and lots of heat the permanently molds the carpet so it fits perfectly, but they don;t make one to fit the 2013, sadly.

Yes, unfortunately our Town House has no garages
