I have a 2013 Lexus Rx350 - white paint color. The paint is peeling. Anyone else have this problem? This can't be normal, I've babied this car since day 1 and it only has 79k miles. Advice on what I can do?
Here are some pics of what it looks now. It started a year ago from piece by piece.
Looks like a problem caused by standing ice/snow on the little ledge. Standing rain water [if parked on an incline with tail a bit higher than the nose].
Call your local Lexus dealership and they can get you in touch with paint touch up person. If that person cant help, then get recommendation from your local Lexus dealership for a body/paint shop. Also check with salvage yards and you may be able to get the whole trunk door in the same color. Just price out each option.

I would get a hold of Lexus directly if not through a dealer. Should not happen to a Lexus. I have a 2011 with no paint issues and I live in the north east.
From my research online I've noticed post-facelift models are more susceptible to peeling paint. Especially Starfire Pearl. Not sure why! I never had any paint problems on my pre-facelift RXs, but my 2014 (Starfire Pearl) has two spots I am keeping an eye on.
I'm up here in Oregon so no salt or super hot weather (normally) to really be causing it.
Just a reminder the process is to reach out to your local Lexus Dealer first. If there is no resolution, then call Lexus Corporate.
You can go out of order, but they will tell you to contact local dealer. Local dealer is the interface Lexus Corp has with the owners. As a owner, you are not tied to only one Lexus dealer [you can go to a location of your choice]. Keep this in mind that Lexus corp will use the dealership to implement the change. Politeness and persistence will yield better results. Antagonizing any one will introduce hurdles.

My paint, same color and model, is peeling. Corporate is having me take it to dealer to check it. There needs to be a recall
I have the same problem on my 2013 RX 350 f-sport. On the left side of the trunk body, just below the back window, the paint started to peel off about 2 1/2 years ago. About 6 months ago I noticed the paint peeling off on the right side of the trunk body, just below the back window. How many reports of peeling paint would it take to get Toyota's attention? Any ideas?
We have 2011 RX350 with only 68k on the clock. We are getting random peeling in small spots around the car like inside door jams, fuel filler area, etc. Thankfully, nothing on outside surfaces yet. Don't think Lexus will be of any help on a car this old.....just using touchup paint myself to help prevent rust
