VVTi Oil Cooler Line
Just had a question regarding my 2013 RX350. I’ve seen a lot of talk about recalls of the oil cooler line for models prior to 2013, where the line is made of rubber and bursts, causing massive oil leaks. Does the 2013 model have a metal line now? Or is it still a rubber one?

You have nothing to worry about. All of those lines were replaced with metal ones by 2012.
The VVTi was changed long before 2012 and the separate oil cooler line was changed for 2012.
You only have the oil cooler if you have the towing package. That does not include a hitch. It just means they added an oil cooler. Look inside the passenger front fender, If there are slots toward the front those are air vents for the cooler. Or look up your VIN build sheet at the Lexus Drivers Site. It is free and you can also see the dealer service history!
