Default Shop or Service Manual

Hey group

Sorry if this has been covered, couldn't find much searching. Looking for a service manual. I see some PDFs online, and I see that Ebay has a monstrous 10-volume printed edition, but is there a normal (like Chilton or Haynes) shop manual? I did search Chilton, Haynes, Clymer, blah blah. I did find some for other models, but nothing for the RX450h.

Any suggestions?

Also I heard that the 2nd gen Highlander is basically the same, any truth to that?

Yes the 2nd gen Highlander is a mechanical twin except for the rear suspension. I had an interactive eBay CD for my RX but it no longer works!

You can subscribe to the Toyota Technical Information System (TIS) for a day or longer to learn what you need

You can also learn a lot at the Toyota Nation Forum for the 2nd gen Highlander as they do more of their own repairs, look at the sticky threads for maintenance etc

Awesome, thanks for the info! The TIS site is interesting. And The Toyota Nation is a treasure trove!
thanks again!

FYI the 3rd generation Highlander adopted the RX rear suspension.
