Default Replace radiator hoses at 111,000 Miles?

I'm changing the coolant on my wife's 2015 Lexus Rx 450h. It has 111K miles on it. Coolant has never been changed. The hoses look OK but should I bother changing them at this time or is it not necessary?

If they feel and look okay and are not collapsing anywhere, I would keep right on running them. The key is to continue to check them at least every month or so.

I hope you know how to put your hybrid into maintenance mode in order to bleed the coolant system. And about the coolant bleed screw on top of the engine toward the passenger side (10mm) but (I think) under the plastic engine cover.

Yes, thanks - I know about maintenance mode and the bleeder screw/valve. I also have a spill free funnel for the radiator - hope I don't make a mess.

There is no need to replace the hose, they are not known to leak.

I keep harping about reading the Service and Warranty Manual. Obviously that is the minimum.

Apart from that looking at the cluster for abnormal condition [every use], looking for drips/smell/sound a visual scan under the hood [weekly], touch feel check with every service.

IN touch and feel check, you twist the battery cable, squeeze the hoses etc.

They should be ok but check them for cracks and suppleness. Since you’ll have the system open, check the inside also. When I replaced the hoses on my Taco and wife’s ES350 at 100K, the hoses looked good. If ok replace them, and the thermostat, at the next coolant change, at 150K.
