Need to isolate drive response vs engine response.
Is there a lag when you depress the pedal to engine RPM when in Park? If so the thing you are after is throttle position sensor [fly by wire].
If not:
Is there a clunk/chirp in the drivetrain [all the way to wheel-road contact]. Investigate the source of the noise as that is where you are loosing the precious nano-seconds.
Lastly, what are you comparing the RX to or are your expectations realistic of RX. This is not a sport vehicle. You have a slush box coupling the wheels to the engine.

I stand corrected. I have just purchased my 2015 RX350 AWD recently and it seems more like a learned shift pattern issue that caused the weird stall/slip at low speeds when lightly pressing the gas pedal. I have put some miles on the RX350 since my last post and the transmission is shifting perfectly even with light throttle input. So again I guess the previous owner must had a heavier gas pedal foot at low speeds than me which confused the transmission shift logic I assume. It usually take a couple hundred miles for a transmission computer to adapt to long term drive style changes.
