Default Ticking Noise from Dashboard

Starting to hear a ticking noise which sounds like its coming from underneath the driver side of the dashboard. Not noticing anything wrong from the HVAC system or any CEL turning on. It happens with the radio and HVAC on and off. Anyone have a similar issue with hearing a ticking noise from that area?

It is usually the HVAC servo motors "hunting" for the proper pre-set blend door positions.

I just had a servo replaced and my heat and a/c are working good now on the car. Is this noise “normal” then? Its not always making that noise—random times kinda. I haven’t had the car that long.

We have owned vehicles that have made those servo motor ticking sounds for years, sometimes for several minutes even after the ignition has been shut off. Nothing to worry about.

I would rephrase it as ... constantly changing to provide best user experience. Now that means, always changing and being overworked.
If any one hates it, just take it out of "Auto" and set the mode ... usually once in summer and the next time in winters to face or feet direction. And maybe once or twice to the windshield when they fog-up.

Salim

PS: the only time I have observed the system quit is eventually when it gets stuck.
